On October 26th The Friends of Auchmar will hold it’s Annual General Meeting. The meeting takes place on Thursday October 26th, 2017 from 7-9 pm. at the Terryberry Public Library (corner of West 5th and Mohawk Rd W.).
Robin McKee, who recently visited Europe on a tour with the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry will present a talk on the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge and the 75th anniversary of the Dieppe Raid.

We are pleased to announce that the Friends of Auchmar’s application to the City of Hamilton’s Canada 150 Projects and Events Funding Program has been successful. Funding has been awarded in the amount of $2,000 to support Hamilton Honours the Life and Times of Isaac Buchanan – City-Builder & Nation-Builder: A Canada 150 Celebration.
More details to be announced later this year as we plan this event.
Take advantage of this unique opportunity to attend the Friends of Auchmar meeting in the Auchmar Manor House, then tour and walk the grounds before crowds arrive for the unrelated City of Hamilton sponsored tours of Auchmar from 12 noon until 4:00 pm.
“Voices From Auchmar” the meeting’s theme, includes memories and reminiscences from those who have significant ties to Auchmar, friends such as Doug Embelton, Frank Fordham and Mrs. Voelker.
As our Friends of Auchmar meeting is open to the public, please RSVP to Pat Saunders at firstname.lastname@example.org to ensure you have a seat as SEATING IS LIMITED. There is no parking on the grounds of the estate. Those with mobility issues may be dropped off near the front entrance prior to parking on neighbouring streets.
