The Friends of Auchmar will hold a Public Members Meeting, the The Voices of Auchmar Series on Saturday, June 23, 2018, commencing at 9:30 until 11:30 a.m. at the Auchmar Manor House. The Speakers will be Ken Watson and Gwen Vasseur. Ken will speak about John Harvey Watson who received the 13th Battalion colours from Lady Buchanan when the regiment was formed in the 1860s and early days of the 13th. It is with deep sadness that we announce that Larry Maughan has passed away

It is with deep sadness that we announce the untimely death of Larry Maughan on November 29, 2018. Beloved husband to Isobelle (Belle) for 45 years who predeceased him in 1999. Loving father to Kate (the Reverend Canon Keith). Awesome Grandpa to Sarah and Josh Morrison. Big brother to Michael Maughan (Judith, deceased). About Auchmar Manor House

In 1852, Isaac Buchanan bought 54 acres of land on the Hamilton Mountain. The property stretched from the mountain brow to Fennel Ave. He built a summer cottage which eventually became Buchanan’s Manor House & Estate.
